Welcome to my personal website

I created the site following Mum's death in August 2013 in order to display the many family photographs which she had collected over her lifetime: these will be found in the Family Archive.

Since then, I've added a variety of other stuff. I hope you'll find something of interest.

Comments or questions? Send me an email.

The Other Stuff
(open access - no password needed)

The Fab 14
A weekly audio programme featuring my current favourite pop music tracks.

My All-Time Hot 100
A seven-hour audio programme featuring my 100 favourite pop records from the last 60 years.

The Big L Tapes
Recordings I made of the pop pirate Radio London in July and August 1967 before the Marine Offences Act forced it off the air.

The Comment Archive
Between June 2000 and May 2006 I wrote a regular Comment column giving my views on the news. Here are all 162 of them.

My Fiction Writing
After I retired from teaching in 1997 I fancied becoming a novelist. Here are the five novels I wrote (four of them for children) before I realised I'd be better off growing potatoes ...

Video Projects
... or maybe becoming a film director. Here are the two films I've made so far - Breakfast with the Squirrels and The Garden in September. Then again, perhaps the potatoes would be a better bet after all ...
